Cleveland, OH. (PFCritics) -- New Orleans Saints offensive tackle Jammal Brown was released on bond Friday after being arrested for domestic abuse. The complaint was made by his wife Thursday, when she called 911 said Capt. George Bonnett, the St. Tammany Parish sheriff.
"I can certainly say it was a physical altercation," Bonnett said. "We know they had a disagreement that escalated into a physical disagreement."
The injuries that Browns's wife sustained are not yet known. Brown posted $5,000 bail to get out of jail.
"We're aware of the situation and our security department is investigating it," said Saints team spokesman Greg Bensel. "Until that has been concluded, we have no further comment."
Brown was a first-round draft pick in 2005, and started 13 games for the Saints at right tackle. This year, Brown is scheduled to move to left tackle for quarterback Drew Brees.
