Despite a solid performance this past Sunday from QB Joey Harrington, it appears that QB Jeff Garcia will reclaim his starting job is he is healthy enough to go this week against the Dallas Cowboys.
Garcia, out with a sore leg since the Chicago Bears game two weeks ago, has remained above Harrington on the depth chart.
"We haven't had Jeff healthy since the Chicago Bears game," said head coach Steve Mariucci. "Had things stayed healthy with Jeff ... that (Garcia starting) was going to continue. What changed it is his ill health. If we have to name a starter today, I can't tell you who it's going to be. I need to go through this week again."
Mariucci knows that Harrington picked apart a weak defense. If he lets Harrington in there again, he is likely to implode like he has throughout his career.
