Philadelphia Eagles linebacker Jeremiah Trotter is back home after leaving the Eagles two years ago. Trotter says that he never thought he'd be back. He signed a one year contract for less one million dollars.
After the 2001 season was over, the franchise tag was slapped on to Trotter by the Eagles. Trotter did not like this, and his relationship with the Eagles organization was not good. The Eagles then removed the tag on Trotter, making him a free agent. Then he signed with the Redskins.
Last year, Trotter led the Redskins with 129 tackles in all sixteen games. Trotter knows that there is a good chance he will not start on the defense this year. But he knows he will get plenty of opportunities on a very solid defensive team.
