There is a possibility that Hall of Fame wide receiver Jerry Rice will be on his way out of Oakland before the October 19th deadline. Rice thought he would still be a part of Oakland's offense this season, but only has 5 catches with no touchdowns through five games.

Rice's consective catch streak was also ended this season. It's not just about that though. Rice wants to be somewhere where he can actually see playing time before he decides to retire.

One team named as a possibility at the moment are the Detroit Lions, who have lost Charles Rogers for the season.
