The New York Jets have signed their number one draft pick, Jonathan Vilma. Vilma, the 12th overall pick in the draft, and a linebacker, signed a deal worth about $10 million for five years.

Vilma should have a good chance to start for the Jets, but will have to compete with veteran Sam Cowart.
