After months of holding out, Keenan McCardell got his wish and was traded away from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to the San Diego Chargers. The Chargers are still in contention this year, so McCardell could be a huge pickup for them.

He will especially be big after the Chargers lost wide receiver Reche Caldwell for the season. In addition, the Chargers added wide receiver Bobby Shaw, whom the Buffalo Bills dropped about a week ago.

The Chargers gave up a third round and sixth round pick to the Bucs in the 2005 draft. If McCardell pro-bowler this or next year, the Chargers will also give Tampa Bay a fifth round pick in the 2006 draft.
