The Oakland Raiders have ruled running back LaMont Jordan out for this week's game against the Denver Broncos with a turf toe. This will make it even more difficult for the Raiders to compete, since Jordan has provided a consistent ground game this season.
Jordan suffered the turf toe during the first half against the Cleveland Browns last week. Jordan played the entire game and rushed for 132 yards. Jordan is the first Raider running back to reach 1,000 yards in a season since 2000.
Raiders' fullback Zack Crockett and Justin Fargas will see time at running back against the Broncos.
"Zack can grind on a team," said Turner, "and (Denver) is the type of team that Zack, with his downhill style, they go sideways so much, he should be effective."
The Broncos will be glad to hear this, since they need a victory to get closer to clinching the second seed in the AFC.
