After being disgruntled at how poorly the Redskins offense was this season, star receiver Laveranues Coles wants out of Washington. The talented receiver had 90 catches for 950 yards this season, but only recorded one touchdown.
Coles had to deal with the constant struggles of the offense, with Patrick Ramsey and Mark Brunell switching roles often.
The Redskins may be leaning towards a trade for Coles, because releasing him could count as a large cap penalty unless Coles agrees otherwise.
Coles has been bothered by a toe injury for the past two seaons, but he has been reluctant to get surgery on it. The team has asked him to have the surgery, but it's not known whether he will comply or not.
