Detroit Lions running back Kevin Jones was placed on the injured reserve Tuesday after injuring his left foot this past Sunday against the Minnesota Vikings. Jones' injury came late in the game, and the team is not certain as to how serious the injury is at this point. Jones was having an "ok" season for the underachieving Lions, rushing for 689 yards on the ground and catch 61 passes for 520 yards. He had eight touchdowns on the season, with two of them coming through the air.
Running back Arlen Harris will probably see action at running back for the remainder of the season. He has 20 carries for 67 yards and a touchdown this season, as the team does not really have a true backup running back.
