The Detroit Lions have signed free agent cornerback R.W. McQuarters to a one-year deal. McQuarters was released by the Chicago Bears a few weeks ago.

The Lions had also shown a strong interest in Ty Law, but the signing of McQuarters likely means that the team no longer has an interest for Law.
