Tommy Maddox has been named the starting quarterback for this week's game against the Baltimore Ravens. Charlie Batch, in relief of Ben Roethlisberger, suffered a broken hand against the Cleveland Browns and is out.

Even though Roethlisberger will not start, he may be able to play if the Steelers cannot produce under Maddox. Maddox has struggled recently, drawing boos from Steeler fans.

On a positive side, the Steelers will get running back Willie Parker back in the starting lineup. Parker has been out with an ankle sprain, and should add a spark to the Steelers running game.

It is not known whether Duce Staley or Jerome Bettis will be the primary backup to Parker. Based on who becomes the backup this week, the other person may find themselves inactive or with very little playing time.
