Jacksonville Jaguars rookie TE Marcedes Lewis suffered a high ankle sprain against the Miami Dolphins on Saturday night. Lewis will miss at least one week of action, and hopes to return after that. The Jaguars hope that the sprain does not prevent him from playing Week 1.
When the Jaguars drafted Lewis, they expected him to fill part of the void that was left after Jimmy Williams' retirement. Lewis may have problems with extended playing time for a few weeks when he returns, especially since he is losing valuable experience.
PFC Analysis: The Jaguars are already trying to rely on unproven receivers in Matt Jones and Ernest Wilford, and desperately need all of their potential weapons healthy for Byron Leftwich to throw to. TE Kyle Brady doesn't provide enough on offense anymore.
