The San Diego Chargers received bad news when left tackle Marcus McNeill suffered a broken bone in his left hand during practice on Wednesday. McNeill was supposed to play against the Seattle Seahawks on Saturday, but that isn't the case after having minor surgery on Thursday.

"We're expecting he'll be back and ready to go the following ballgame," said head coach Marty Schottenheimer.

McNeill has been working with the first-team offensive line all week. Replacing the rookie McNeill will be Leander Jordan, who started the final eight games at left tackle for the Chargers last season.
