Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Marvin Harrison returned to practice on Thursday after missing ten games this season due to injury. While that might not be good news to Tennessee Titans fans, it should be a relief to Colts fans and Cleveland Browns fans across the country.
Harrison has not played since October 22nd due a left knee injury. Colts head coach Tony Dungy has stated that although Harrison has been out for awhile, he could've played in some of the contests if the magnitude of the game was that of the postseason. It is believed that Harrison's knee was good-to-go last week, but he was not yet in football shape again.
By Harrison practicing, he could see several series against the Titans Sunday night. Quarterback Peyton Manning has stated that he hasn't worked with Harrison in practice for weeks, meaning a few snaps during a live game could be beneficial for their chemistry as they get ready for the postseason. If Harrison plays, Manning will probably see more playing time than he would have without Harrison active.
"We would like for Marvin to be able to go and get some playing time in. That's our hope. We'll see if it materializes," said Dungy earlier this week.
The Browns need the Titans to lose this Sunday in order to make the playoffs. Their best chance of seeing that happen would be if Manning puts a lot of points up on the board early on like he did against the Houston Texans last Sunday.
