Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Donovan McNabb will start the team's home opener against the San Francisco 49ers this week. McNabb suffered a bruised chest against the Falcons in Week 1, but feels good.

Eagles' head coach Andy Reid said that McNabb will play unless "something crazy happens."

"I was being a little bit cautious with him yesterday and he didn't want any part of that," Reid said. "He felt good and went out and made all his throws. I was not sure how he was going to do with the deep ball yesterday, but I think he answered that. He threw the ball well."

McNabb was hurt when Falcons defensive player Chad Lavalais left with his helmet into McNabb. Lavalais was fined $7,500.
