Marcus Vick is going to get his shot at the NFL sooner than people thought. The Miami Dolphins promoted Vick from their practice squad, terminating the contract of receiver Cliff Russell to make room for him. Russell had two catches for 14 yards.

Vick will not only add to the depth at quarterback for the Dolphins while Daunte Culpepper heals, but he could provide a spark on offense if they choose to activate him on game day. Vick has spent the season on the practice squad so far.

During the preseason, Vick did fairly well as a kick returner and receiver.

PFC Analysis: If you're a big Marcus Vick fan, it'll be fun to watch if he gets involved in the action. However, for any of you die-hard Marcus Vick fans, don't do something idiotic and sign him to your fantasy football team.
