Despite recording their second shutout of the season, the Jacksonville Jaguars received bad news after learning linebacker Mike Peterson strained his pectoral muscle early in the game against the New York Jets. The Jaguars crushed the Jets 41-0.

"I don't know how serious that is," said head coach Jack Del Rio. "I know it's serious enough that he couldn't return to the game. ... We're going to keep our fingers crossed and hope that's not a serious situation there."

Peterson leads the Jaguars with 42 tackles and also has an interception. The Jaguars defense has looked unstoppable a few times this year, but are already without defensive end Reggie Heyward for the rest of the season, and Peterson's status is in question now.
