With the thirty-second and final pick in the first round of the NFL Draft, the New York Giants selected defensive end Mathias Kiwanuka of Boston. The Giants chose not to take a linebacker, particularly DeMeco Ryans. The Giants must be satisfied with the recent acquisitions of LaVar Arrington and Brandon Short to the point where they do not need a linebacker at this point.
