The Seattle Seahawks have signed Minnesota Vikings receiver Nate Burleson to an offer sheer worth $49 million over seven years, with $5.25 million guaranteed. Burleson is coming off a season with injuries, but he was able to produce in Minnesota's offense, even without Randy Moss.
Last year, Burleson caught 30 passes for 328 yards and one touchdown. He had 1,006 yards receiving and nine touchdowns the year before. Seattle is the hometown of Burleson. Since he was a restricted free agent, the Vikings have a week(as of Friday) to match the offer. At the moment, it appears as if the Vikings will pass on the opportunity to keep Burleson. They will head into next season satisfied with Koren Robinson, Travis Taylor, Marcus Robinson, and Troy Williamson.
The offer from Seattle comes days after the Vikings were able to lock up guard Steve Hutchinson to a seven-year, $49 million deal. Burleson will replace Joe Jurevicius in Seattle's offense.
