Green Bay Packers cornerback Ahmad Carroll was arrested by the police after allegedly arguing with an officer at a Fayetteville bar. Carroll was charged with a third-degree assault on an officer, disorderly conduct, and refusal to submit to arrest on Friday. He was released on $1,550 bond.
The Packers organization had no immediate comment regarding the situation. The police were originally sent to the bar after Carroll and a college teammate had reportedly gotten into an argument with a bouncer.
When police tried to get in the way or Carroll, he slapped an officer's hand down and went to leave. He then refused to put his hands behind his back, but then complied when an officer warned him that he would use an electric stun gun otherwise.
Last year, Carroll started 15 games for the Packers and had 40 tackles and two interceptions.
