The Green Bay Packers have placed wide receiver Robert Ferguson on the injured reserve, the third straight year that his season has ended early. Ferguson has not played in the past two games after rehabbing from a foot injury from October 2nd against the Philadelphia Eagles.
Ferguson was originally a second-round draft pick in 2001. His only full season came in 2002, when he played in all 16 games. With an extra roster spot available, the Packers were able to claim receiver Shaun Bodiford on waivers from the Detroit Lions. Bodiford was a non-drafted free agent.
