-
The Carolina Panthers have given safety Mike Minter a four year contract extension. The deakl could be worth about $10 million.

Minter, who has spent all seven of his seasons with the Panthers, had his future in doubt after the Panthers took safety Thomas Davis in the first round of the NFL draft this year. After giving Minter a new deal now, Minter will likely finish his career off as a Panther.

Last season, Minter played 16 games recording 94 tackles, 2 sacks, and one forced fumble.
