The Carolina Panthers have signed free agent safety Idrees Bashir. Bashir has played for the Indianapolis Colts since 2001, including 13 starts last season.

In 51 games with the Colts, Bashir had 282 tackles and five interceptions. The Panthers have already made a few good signings this offseason; most-notable being cornerback Ken Lucas.
