The New England Patriots have lost plenty of players this offseason, but they're hanging on to one of the favorites. The Patriots re-signed wide receiver Troy Brown to a contract, even though he is 34 years old. Last year, Brown had 39 catches for 466 yards and two touchdowns.
During the 2004 season, the Patriots were very thin at the defensive back position and used Brown asa nickel back. He did very well, and even had a few interceptions. Brown has also played on special teams the past few seasons for New England. During his career, Brown has 244 returns for 2,554 yards.
The Patriots already lost kicker Adam Vinatieri, David Givens, and Willie McGinest. All of them played key roles in their playoff and Super Bowl appearances the past several years.
