The San Francisco 49'ers have signed linebacker Julian Peterson to a one-year contract. Last year, the 49'ers franchised Peterson, resulting in a holdout that lasted until late August. It was thought that the 49'ers may try to franchise him again, but they were able to come to an agreement.

The deal will be worth $7.29 million. Peterson missed most of last season after he suffered a tear in his left Achilles tendon.
