Ricky Williams made a move that no one expected, and decided to retire after a five year career only. In 2002, the Dolphins had to acquire Williams from the Saints by giving up two first round picks. After struggling last season from Miami's lackluster offensive line, the Dolphins will be left without a starting running back at the moment.

Backup running back Travis Minor may have to be the starter now. Williams said there is no way he will change his mind. The Dolphins would have loved to hear this days earlier, so that they could have made a run for Eddie George, now with the Cowboys.

Coach Dave Wannstedt had no comment, expectadely so. The Dolphins season may have just went down the drains once again, as they have been a dispointment by failing to make the playoffs the last few years.

And for whoever drafted him in a fantasy football league, ouch...
