The St. Louis Rams have traded their No. 1 draft pick from 2002, linebacker Robert Thomas, to the Green Back Packers for cornerback Chris Johnson. The team no longer needed Thomas after signing free-agent linebacker Chris Claiborne in the offseason.

The Rams cut their starting fullback from last year, Joey Goodspeed. The move makes Madison Hedgecock, a rookie selected in round seven, the team's starter.
