The Baltimore Ravens will likely be without star middle linebacker Ray Lewis for the second consecutive week. With how the Ravens are playing though, they may not need him. Lewis had minor surgery on Thursday to have some blood drained from his swollen back and is listed as questionable for this week's game against the Atlanta Falcons.
Lewis' injury occured on November 5th during the team's game against the Baltimore Ravens. The Ravens won without Lewis last week, but they were gashed by the Tennessee Titans' run defense. That could be a concern this week, considering they are facing the top run offense in the NFL.
"I don't know how much of a difference it (the surgical procedure) will make for this week, but it's my understanding that it will make a huge difference for him and we'll see how he is at the end of the week," said Ravens head coach Brian Billick. "He's made real progress, I think."
PFC Analysis: The Ravens' defense is not a solid pick this week. With people criticizing Atlanta for not running the ball, they'll be going back to basics and try to exploit the Ravens the same when Tennessee did last week.
