The Washington Redskins have released kick returner Chad Morton in a salary cap move. Two years ago, Morton was a kick returned on the New York Jets where he was one of the AFC's best returners.

This season, Morton averaged 22.4 yards on 16 kickoff returns. His season ended early on Halloween when he damaged a ligament.

On a side note, Chad Morton's brother, Johnnie Morton, was released by the Chiefs earlier.
