The Washington Redskins have placed linebacker Chris Clemons on the injured reserve after spraining his knee this past Sunday against the New York Giants. Clemons, in his second year, had two sacks this season and played during passing downs.
Clemons would often be used to replace LaVar Arrington during these situations, even though he didn't have many tackles.
Redskins' wide receiver Santana Moss was named the NFC's offensive player of the week after catching five passes for 160 yards and three touchdowns against the Giants.
