Washington Redskins safety Sean Taylor is being sued for allegedly attacking a man and pulling a gun on him last June. The suit was filed on June 27th in Miami Dade Circuit Court by Ryan Hill. Hill is seeking $15,000 in damages from the talented safety.

In the lawsuit, Hill claims that he was bruised, had to pay medical expenses, and lost wages from his work due to the encounter. Last month, Taylor pleaded no contest to two misdemeanors in the case, and was sentenced to 18 months probation.

The incident occurred on June 1st, 2005. Supposedly, Taylor and a few of his friends were searching for people that had stolen his vehicles. Taylor, suspecting Hill as a thief, struck him several times with his fists. Later on, he returned with an assault rifle, while his friends chased Hill with baseball bats.

"What happened to (Hill) is something that is pretty bad, there's no reason for it," said Canton, Hill's attorney. "He gets beat up and assaulted by Mr. Taylor and had guns pointed at him at a different point."

However, as you would suspect, Taylor's attorney, Richard Sharpstein, does not agree with Canton whatsoever.

"Hill stole Sean's property. Hill baited him, lured him and suckered him into a fight," Sharpstein said.

Taylor was a first-round draft pick by the Redskins in 2004, and has been outstanding on the field, aiding them in their playoff run last year. However, he's also been in constant trouble, including late hits during the game and rubbing other players the wrong way.
