Big Ben Roethlisberger has not lost a game yet, but he may miss his first game next week. It may be a smart move, regardless. Roethlisberger injured his ribs against the Baltimore Ravens this week. He was immediately taken out of the game and replaced by Tommy Maddox as a precaution.

Along with Roethlisberger, the Steelers may rest Jerome Bettis, Hines Ward, or Plaxico Burress as well as defensive players at times next week.

Steelers cornerback Deshea Townsend also suffered an injury after he broke his right hand against the Ravens, but said he can play with a protective cast.
