Roman Phifer, who has spent the last four seasons with the New England Patriots, may not retire this season. Phifer, a free agent, may decide to return to the Patriots.

Phifer has spent 14 years in the NFL and is still recovering from shoulder surgery. The Patriots utilize any player though, and would likely welcome Phifer back.
