-
Cincinnati Bengals rookie running back Kenny Irons left Thursday's preseason game against the Detroit Lions after injuring his left knee and ankle. Irons was taken to the locker room on a cart after hobbling off the field. During his time in the game, he recorded four carries for 17 yards in substation for starter Rudi Johnson.

Irons' injury appeared to come after a stutter-step move on the Lions' artificial turf. With Chris Perry already battling his leg injury from last season, Kenny Watson and Quincy Wilson had to handle the load for the rest of the game. We'll have an update on Irons' status as details come along.
