Cleveland, OH. (PFCritics) -- The Tampa Bay Buccaneers learned that they'll be without their sixth-round draft pick this season. Rookie tight end T.J. Williams tore his right Achilles' tendon during the final practice in minicamp last week, meaning he will probably miss the entire season.
Williams was scheduled to compete with tight ends Alex Smith, Anthony Becht, and Dave Moore. Williams will still have to receive a contract that is relatively similar to the contracts of players that were selected around his number in the draft.
In other news related to the Buccaneers, we are pleased to report that quarterback Luke McCown had successful surgery to repair a torn ligament in his right knee, according to his agent.
