Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Santonio Holmes was arrested on Friday for disorderly conduct at a hotel in South Beach, Florida. Miami Beach police spokesman Bobby Hernandex stated that Holmes was released from jail on Saturday after signing a promissory note.
At the moment, it is not known why Holmes was arrested. Steelers spokesman Dave Lockett said that he was not aware of the arrest details yet when asked to comment. Holmes was the Steelers first-round draft pick in April's draft, and is being counted on to step up and be the team's No. 2 receiver behind Hines Ward.
