Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker Joey Porter will not be fined for the comments he made towards the NFL officiating crew regarding this past Sunday's game against the Indianapolis Colts.
When coaches make remarks about officials, they usually receive a fine. Players are sometimes fined as well, but not always.
Porter was upset that referee Pete Morelli and his crew made several bad calls this past Sunday. The call that may have upset him the most was when Steelers safety Troy Polamula had an interception taken away from him late in the fourth quarter.
"The whole world wanted Indy to win so bad, they were going to do whatever they had to do," said Porter.
Steelers' head coach Bill Cowher did not condone Porter's comments. "Our officials are doing the very best that they can do," said Cowher.
The Steelers will face the Denver Broncos this Sunday for the AFC Championship.
