-
The Pittsburgh Steelers have released former starting cornerback Chad Scott in order to free cap room next season. Scott had been a starter for the Steelers for six seasons before injuring his knee in October. He didn't really play after that.

The Steelers also released tight end Jay Riemersma to clear cap. In two seasons with the Steelers, Riemersma only had 17 catches for 220 yards and three touchdowns.
