In a surprise move, New York Jets tight end Doug Jolley will not be starting on opening day. Jolley was traded from the Raiders in the offseason for a first-round draft pick.

At the moment, it looks like Chris Baker will start at the tight end position. Jolley is probably not starting because of his inability to block as well as Baker.

Even though Baker will be starting, the Jets will probably use a lot of multiple tight end formations and insert Jolley in the place of Baker for several situations.
