Buffalo Bills linebacker Takeo Spikes is done for the season after suffering a torn right Achilles' tendon. Spikes, a two-time Pro Bowler, was a major part of the Bills' defense.
"It's devastating," said Bills' safety Troy Vincent. "But we can't lose the swagger....We're just going to have to pick up the pieces and keep rolling. No player wants that to happen to them, but that's part of the game.'"
Spikes will have surgery and should be fully recovered by next season. Third-year linebacker Angelo Crowell will make his first career start in place of Spikes. Spikes was hurt while trying to pressure Michael Vick.
