After being excited over making the final roster, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers released wide receiver David Boston on Saturday. Taking his spot is offensive tackle Scott Jackson, who was activated from the practice squad. Boston had missed most of the past two seasons while playing with the Miami Dolphins due to knee injuries.

The Buccaneers need an extra offensive lineman with rookie guard Davin Joseph out this week with a knee injury. The team's starting guard, Dan Buenning, also has an ankle sprain, but should play. Boston will probably not be resigned by the Buccaneers, but could find work with another team later in the season.
