Cleveland, OH. (PFCritics) -- The Houston Texans signed fourth-round draft pick Owen Daniels to a deal on Wednesday, making him the third draft pick the Texans have signed so far. Daniels, a tight end out of Wisconsin, was selected with the 98th overall pick in the draft.
Daniels originally was going to be a quarterback for Wisconsin, but moved to the tight end position during his sophomore season. He caught four touchdown passes during his senior season, helping his team defeat ninth-ranked Auburn in the Capital One Bowl.
Daniels, at 6-foot-3, 247 pounds, caught 62 passes for 852 yards during his college career. He joins the already signed defensive end Mario Williams and linebacker DeMeco Ryans. Williams is the only first-round draft pick to have signed with a team so far, with Ryans being the next closest.
