The Houston Texans worked out QB Tim Couch on Thursday to see if they are interested in signing him for next season. Couch has not been on an NFL team for two years after recovering from rotator cuff surgery.
Couch played for the Cleveland Browns for 62 games. He didn't do too bad, but he never did live up to his expectations of being the first pick in the 1999 draft.
"Tim came in, we put him through a long workout, and he had a good workout," said Texans general manager Charley Casserly.
Couch signed with the Green Bay Packers after being let go by the Browns, but then had his shoulder problems. He tried out for the Chicago Bears and Cincinnati Bengals over the past two years, but was not signed.
