After losing starting quarterback Rex Grossman a couple of weeks ago and not having success with Jonathon Quinn, the Bears are going to let Tim Couch try out for them. Couch will take a physical Friday.

Head coach of the Bears, Lovie Smith, said that this is just a tryout to see how Tim looks right now. From there, they will explore the option of using him as a backup or a starter.

The Bears showed interest in Couch when the Browns wanted to trade Couch, but they never pulled a trade. When Couch was released, the Packers got him first. Couch was cut from Green Bay before the season started.
