The Tennessee Titans are finally starting to improve their defense again. The Titans signed linebacker David Thorton to a multi-year deal on Monday. Thorton has played for the Indianapolis Colts for the past four years after being drafted by them in 2002.
Last year, Thorton was a key part in the Colts' defensive breakout. He started all 16 games and recorded 96 tackles, two sacks, and two forced fumbles.
"He's a prime example of everything you look for in an unrestricted free agent," said Titans general manager Floyd Reese. "He's young, athletic, dependable, versatile and comes from a winning program."
Thorton will start for the Titans, as the team is now looking to sign some veterans after developing their young talent the past few years.
