The Tennessee Titans signed fourth-round draft pick Calvin Lowery to a three-year deal worth $1.445 million on Sunday. Lowry, a strong safety from Penn State, is the fourth of ten Titans' draft picks to sign so far. The team has already signed seventh-rounders Cortland Finnegan, Spencer Toone, and Quinton Ganther.
Lowery, the 102nd overall pick in the draft, is 5-foot-11, 200 pounds. During his college career, Lowery recorded 163 tackles, nine interceptions, and four fumble recoveries. He may play free safety for the Titans this season in a nickel or dime package. He is known for playing effective when he is close to the line of scrimmage.
Lowery can also return punts if needed. In college, he averaged 9.4 yards a return on 86 attempts. Adam "Pacman" Jones will likely return punts, but Lowery could contribute as a kick returner instead.
