Damon Huard managed the Kansas City Cheifs better than you could ask from any backup in the NFL. Now, it's time for the starter to reclaim his team. The Chiefs announced that Trent Green will start this week's game against the Oakland Raiders.
Green has not played for ten weeks after being hit hard in the first game of the season. The hit caused a severe concussion for Green. He was finally given medical clearance to play, and is not worried about defenders coming after him.
"I don't anticipate having (fear) on Sunday," Green said. "Just because of some of the things I've been through early in my career. No, you can't play the position with fear, and I don't anticipate doing that."
This could be a good game for Green to make his return, since he's playing at Arrowhead against a struggling Raiders team. Oakland has been fairly good on defense though, meaning things won't be easy. To top it off, Green will be without Tony Gonzalez this week, who is out with an injury.
