The status of Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Damon Huard is still up in the air, and he will be a game-time decision. He did not practice Friday after straining his groin on Thursday. If Huard doesn't play, then rookie quarterback Brodie Croyle would get the start instead. Croyle was drafted by the Chiefs and is hoped to be a possible hier to Trent Green.
Croyle worked with the first team offense on Friday, while Green was involved in practice on a limited basis. There's no way that Green will be able to return today. Green is expected to miss two games, and then possibly see the field again.
Despite these rumors, signs are pointing to Huard having a good chance of playing.
"I don't think it's the end of the world," Huard said. "I don't think it's really that big of a deal. And hopefully on Sunday I can go out there, feel good and just play ball."
