Vernon Davis just can't seem to catch a break. After being injured often last year and finally getting some good looks in the 49ers' offense last week, Davis will probably miss the next two weeks due to a sprained ligament in his right knee. The injury occurred this past Sunday against the Pittsburgh Steelers in the third quarter. Davis leaped up to try and make a 22-yard catch, but was hit hard by safety Troy Polamalu and dropped the ball.
"If we lose a game, I'll come in here and see the things that went wrong," said Davis. "I'll critique myself a little bit, especially. I'm in no rush to get home."
After getting Frank Gore going, missing Davis will hinder the 49ers' passing offense. San Francisco will need to bring their A-game regardless this Sunday as they match up against the Seattle Seahawks.
