Chalk up another season-ending injury in the NFL already. The Minnesota Vikings learned that safety Tank Williams will miss the entire season after an injury to his left kneecap. He suffered the injury during training camp on Saturday after he was backpedaling during a drill.
"I feel terrible for Tank," said Vikings head coach Brad Childress.
Williams was signed as a free agent in the offseason and was expected to bolster the Vikings' secondary. Last year, Williams had a career-high 83 tackles, and was set to compete with safety Dwight Smith for the starting job this year.
